Looks up the official NYT Spelling Bee answers. Reveal hints gradually — word counts, pangrams, counts by length, then one word at a time by first letter.

About NYT Spelling Bee

The Spelling Bee gives you 7 letters — one center letter and six outer letters. Your job is to find as many words as possible using only those letters, with every word required to include the center letter. Words must be at least 4 letters long.

Objective: Reach Genius (70% of total points) or go all the way to Queen Bee by finding every word. Pangrams — words that use all 7 letters — are worth a big bonus and are deeply satisfying to find.

Quick tips

Hunt the pangram first. There's always at least one word using all 7 letters. Finding it early gives you a big point boost and often unlocks a mental model for the letter set.

Try every prefix systematically. Go through each letter as a starting point. You'll often find clusters of words that share a prefix you hadn't thought of.

Don't overlook plurals and verb forms. Adding -S, -ED, or -ING to words you've already found is an easy way to pick up extra points without needing new root words.

Use the hint ladder here. Start with word counts by length — knowing there are four 8-letter words focuses your search without giving anything away.
